I was born in New Jersey and grew up in Connecticut. I attended Mount Saint Mary College in New York and The University of Salamanca, in Spain. I received my Bachelor's degree in 1998, majoring in Psychology and Spanish. I immediately went into teaching full-time and taught for 8 years on the East Coast. In 2006, I received my Master's degree in English Literature from Western Connecticut State University. Shortly after receiving my Master's, I moved to the Los Angeles area and began teaching English and Spanish. This is currently my sixth year teaching at Clark and it is, without a doubt, the most exhilarating and rewarding teaching experience of my career.
When I'm not teaching, I can usually be found reading, cooking, running, listening to jazz or exploring new places. Although I love nearly all genres of literature, I am especially fond of poetry and the classics. My favorite poet is Robert Frost and my favorite novel of all time is Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast. Some of my favorite travel destinations are: Spain, Costa Rica and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
