Coastal Marine Biolabs (CMB) cordially invites rising juniors and seniors (current 10th and 11th grade) to apply for participation in 2017 summer research institutes offered through the NeuroLab program, an education research project funded by a National Institutes of Health Science Education Partnership Award. Learn how scientists peer in to the nervous system and study the role of genes and gene products in establishing connectivity among neurons….more detailed program information and the application can be found on the NeuroLab website at: www.NeuroLabSEPA.org (you will have to create a login account). Students are strongly encouraged to review the information contained on the NeuroLab website – and to discuss this opportunity with their parents– BEFORE initiating the online enrollment process. Since enrollment is highly competitive, applications should be submitted well in advance of the start date of each institute. CMB no longer accepts applications on a rolling basis. COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: Spring Fling Carnival for Balboa Elementary School students on Friday, April 14th at Brand Park, 1601 W. Mountain St. Glendale. Volunteers needed from 3PM until 9PM.
